I'm a retired financial guy from a Fortune 500 computer company. When it's not winter in Vermont, I bike, hike, kayak and roller blade in the Green Mountains.

So what are you waiting for.... whether your age 7 or 75, come ski with me at Bolton Valley...!!

Advanced - Adult Group Lesson Ski (OLD)

What I appreciate most about learning from Bruce is his ability to analyze my skiing - what's working, what's not working -- and help me correct it. He's gives me really useful instruction in how to ski different terrain and especially different snow conditions. Where to weight the ski depending on powder, crud, corduroy. He is an absolute pleasure to ski with and watching him ski is like watching water flow down the mountain. He's an inspiration who makes learning a whole lot of fun. And he's patient!

I am 76 and I came back to alpine skiing after a 40 year absence because of a fused ankle. Bruce really helped me smooth out my turns, despite my ankle. His technique of having me imagine holding a medicine ball out in front of me really put my weight forward and kept my arms in good position. Bruce truly loves teaching and his comments always reflect this. They are helpful, to the point, and made with kindness, which is the mark of a wonderful teacher. When Bruce takes you to a more challenging slope, he never says,"You can do this", but rather asks if you feel comfortable with the challenge. And with his teachings, I do. Just to watch Bruce ski is an inspiration, as he is incredibly graceful. I will take more lessons from him.

I'm a 50+ lifelong skier with bad habits, having never had any formal lessons. While I enjoyed skiing and got down most anything, my form left much to be desired! Bruce helped me focus on basics such as shins forward into boots, hands up, and looking down hill while using various teaching techniques to demonstrate or reinforce these concepts. He was always encouraging and quick to sense my learning style, switching gears if one technique wasn't clicking . The proof of success was when my ski friends commented on how much my skiing had improved! I highly recommend Bruce Bassett.
